P12 Command #14 Pt 5 - Endurance

This lesson will conclude our discussion on Prosperity. Today, we will be talking about what it takes to prosper God’s way throughout our lives. One of the most important factors to that is Endurance.

Question: When you hear the word endurance, what comes to mind?

Question: Are there any examples of things you’ve had to endure?

Before any person quits, he/she will do a lot of wrong self-talk. What that means is we sometimes begin to justify why it’s okay to give up, or that it’s a good idea to quit.

Question: Why is it always a bad idea to quit on a God idea?

Philippians 4:13 NLT For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Let’s all go around the room and fill in the blank:
“I can _______ through Christ, who gives me strength”

Part of your fight is just declaring that you can do all things through Christ.

You might have to speak this over yourself as you’re getting ready for your day!

Prosperity can be defined another way as “successfully fulfilling the journey God has set before us.”

In order to do that, we have to endure through some difficult challenges that
are bound to come our way. This isn’t to discourage anyone, it’s to prepare you to proposer, no matter what the cost is.

Hebrews 10:32 NLT Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering.

Yes, that scripture is in the Bible. But it’s not talking about the same kind of suffering we go through today. The kind of suffering the first Christians had to endure was life-threatening.

The kind of suffering we have to endure seems so small in comparison. But the principle is still the same: there was a relentless passion when you first got saved.

Question: do you feel like you still have that same faithfulness as you did when you
first got saved? Why or why not?

Question: What effect does endurance have on you?

All the great things that you will endure accomplish in this life will always happen in the endurance realm. Without endurance, you peak in your influence.

And if we are going to be able to endure, we have to be willing to be held accountable.

Question: How does it feel to have someone hold you accountable to your next
endurance level?
