Foundational Scripture: “The Great Commission”
Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT) Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
John 15:5 (NLT) “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
Key Principles:
- Intimacy with Jesus is the foundation of leadership & disciple-making!
- Abiding in Christ prevents burnout!
Question:
How do we cultivate a deep, daily relationship with Christ?
Mark 10:45 (NLT) “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Key Principles:
- Leadership is about posture, not position.
- Jesus modeled servant leadership in daily life.
- Your example teaches your team how to lead.
- Serve intentionally to build a culture of service.
Question:
Are we building followers of Christ or followers of us?
Acts 1:8 (NLT) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…”
Key Principles:
- We can’t lead or multiply disciples in our own strength!
Question:
What does it look like to yield to the Spirit daily for power, guidance and boldness?

I Corinthians 11:1 (NLT) “And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.”
Philippians 2:15 (NLT)“Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.”

- Who you are is more important than what you say!
Question:
How do we model Christlike Character Consistently?

Ephesians 4:11-12 (NLT) “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church…”
Key Principles:
- Leaders don’t just teach…
- They equip and release others!
Question:
What are some ways we can invest in others to help them develop personally?

James 1:2-3 (NLT) “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy… For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.”
Key Principles:
- Trials refine leaders and deepen their credibility and impact!
Question:
Can you share a time where you remained faithful through a trial?

2 Timothy 2:2 (NLT)“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”
Key Principles:
- An effective leader sees beyond addition and leads through multiplication!
- Leadership and Legacy go hand in hand!

Hebrews 12:1 (NLT) “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
Hebrews 12:2 (NLT)”We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.”

- We are called to grow people, not just ministries.
- Jesus changed the world through multiplying disciples.
- Let’s Recommit today to lead like Jesus:
– Serve Humbly
– Invest Intentionally
– Abide Continually
Galatians 6:9 (NLT) “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good… we will reap a harvest… if we don’t give up.”
