THE WONDERFUL THINGS GOD HAS DONE FOR US
TODAY’S PASSAGE:
Romans 8:31-34 NLT 31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
- We have God’s protection.
- The right response to persecution is happiness!
Matthew 5:11-12 NLT – “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.
- You should be convinced when you feel overwhelmed, stretched, experience a loss, or just don’t know what to do next that God is protecting you and making provision for you. He is there to guide you through it all.
1 Peter 4:14 NLT – So be happy when you are insulted for being a Christian, for then the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.
- Regardless of the accusations against us, we have been forgiven.
- Our accuser has no power over us if we remain in the righteous of Christ.
Revelation 12:10 NLT – Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last–salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth–the one who accuses them before our God day and night.
- Jesus has removed the judgment again us.
Romans 8:1 NLT – So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
- Condemn: to give judgement against, to judge worthy of punishment.
- Christ died so we can live guilt free.
